The USAF Academy Class of 1975 Football Jersey.

NOTE:  Due to the volume of shipping Ginny and I had to contract with a fulfillment house to ship product.  This means we can no longer furnish embroidery.  We handled the embroidery by taking the jersy over to a small embroidery shop in our town.  In order for me to do this we'd have to have them ship it to us, we'd take it to the shop and then we'd ship it on to you.  This didn't make sense because of cost.

I will say this, the embroidery came from a standard catalog which our little shop had.  I think if you look around your neighborhoods you'd find an embroidery shop who has that same catalog and can give you what you want and more.

Thanks to the efforts of Mark Volcheff and our class president, Jim Carlson, Aerovation Products is making available this beautiful football jersey for the United States Air Force Academy class of 1975.   This project started when Mark approached the AF Academy gift shop about getting the "fan" jersey with the number 75 on it instead of the 33 that was offered.  The gift shop manager said that only the number 33 is available.

BACKGROUND:  The coach determines what number will be on the fan jersey in the gift shop each year.   This is customary for the majority of college teams.  The number 33 is the number worn by C1C Drew Fowler an outstanding athlete.

Mark isn't a quitter so he got together with Jim who suggested they contact Aerovation Products about supplying the fan jersey with the number 75 on it.  We gladly accepted the offer to bring this jersey to the class and set out to learn the football jersey business.  One thing we weren't going to do is counterfeit the product sold in the gift shop nor misrepresent this article as being anything other than the official Class of 75 football jersey.

Being the sticklers for detail that we are, Aerovation Products looked at dozens of pictures of the football jersey and created a template for a jersey we think closely resembles the jersey worn by the team rather than what is sold in the gift shop.  We used photos from the program not copyrighted stuff or this years model.  The Class of 1975 football jersey is not a knockoff, it's unique.

For calibration purposes, that's me in the picture, not a stunt double.  I'm 5-11, 190lbs.  The jersey is the XL and I'm wearing a sweater.  I was about half that size when I graduated.  Adjust accordingly.

This template was sent to dozens of suppliers across the globe for bid.  We specified the finest materials and construction methods worthy of the Class of 75.  Some significant features are heavy 170 GSM (grams per square meter) US Aircool jersey in the dazzle finish.   This is a very fine polished material with breathing holes.   The majority of the shirt is made of this fabric.  The area above the chest and sleeves are dazzle jersey without the holes.  We also included Spandex expansion inserts on the sides and arms.  Unlike, the lower cost jerseys this jersey has twill lettering and numbers that is embroidered on rather than silk screened on.  To finish the look we embroidered the official class crest over the heart just like the jerseys worn by the NFL and included our own "Jock Tag" to make this our own.
