Introducing the World's First Checkpoint Friendly™ Laptop Bag

Hi Everyone,

Well, it looks like TSA has come through for us a full one month ahead of their original timeline for getting their agents up to speed on checkpoint-friendly laptop bags. We haven't gotten a single report that there's been a holdup at the checkpoint station.

We're still out of stock but all three factories are hard at work making the bags. Since, we're using a heavier grade of fabric it's not a quick process. The leather bags are coming along as well. We'll be offering them in both black and brown and the hardware is now gold on the brown leather bag. We switched to metal D-rings and swivel clips on both versions of the bag because they aren't interfering with the inspections and they are stronger. The leather bags are very X-ray permeable but still retain the luxury and strength of natural cowhide.

The Aerovation® Checkpoint Friendly™ Laptop Bag allows you to go through a security checkpoint without having to remove your laptop from the bag. We designed the bag to present the laptop computer to the X-ray screening apparatus without all your other things obstructing or complicating the view. We made the bag out of the finest materials to protect your laptop while assisting the TSA in protecting us. The TSA security officers will appreciate this as much as you do.

The Checkpoint Friendly™Laptop Bag works by holding your laptop computer in a separate compartment from the accessories and other items. The two compartments are joined at the top by simple D-rings and the handles. When you approach the screening checkpoint you pull the two compartments apart (they are secured with a little Velcro™) place the bag on the belt and allow it to go through without removing your laptop from the bag. At the other end you lift the bag from the belt and the two compartments fall together automatically and you're on your way! Aerovation's patent pending hinge on top design doesn't require you to unzip the compartments from each other like some competing products. You don't even have to take the bag off your shoulder to separate the compartments. It's that simple!

Since, we anticipate a lot of copy cats we have filed for patent protection of both our design and the method for using this bag. So far, we've filed 2 applications for patents and will have the 3rd patent application filed soon.
